The Eye That Navigates: Anchor Without Chain

A reclaimed wooden form extends above a weathered seascape, its contours interrupted by fragments of canvas and circular images that suggest eyes. The work brings the language of navigation into contact with the act of looking: the sea becomes both a place and an image to be read.

Its assembled materials retain traces of earlier uses, allowing the object to move between painting, relief, and sculpture.
