Cheryl Fudge hosts Fashion Camp every weekend from May through October at her Cheryl Fudge store on Federal Street in Nantucket. At her classes, Cheryl provides vintage fabrics purchased at thrift shops and antiques shows for students to use. "It's easier to buy new fabric," says Cheryl, "but this way everything is one-of-a-kind." Cheryl has seamstresses on-site the day of the class to help customers sew on patches or execute their ideas, but more complicated projects generally ship within two weeks. Attendees don't leave empty-handed, though: most go home with a belt made from one of the more than 400 vintage scarves Cheryl has on hand.

Classes, which include all supplies, cost $50 per hour. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome, space permitting.
